Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of StoryAhead. By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use StoryAhead.

What StoryAhead Provides

StoryAhead helps parents and caregivers create personalized visual social narratives for children. Depending on the features available to your account, the service may let you create child profiles, answer situation-specific questions, generate and edit story text and illustrations, adjust page layouts, read and share stories, and export files such as PDFs.

StoryAhead is a creative and educational tool. It is not a medical, clinical, therapeutic, diagnostic, emergency, or professional-care service and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

Eligibility and Adult Responsibility

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. StoryAhead accounts are intended for adults. If you create content about or for a child, you represent that you are the child's parent, legal guardian, authorized caregiver, or otherwise have the necessary permission to provide and use that information.

You are responsible for deciding whether a generated story is appropriate for the child and situation before reading, sharing, printing, or relying on it.

Accounts

You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless prohibited by applicable law.

AI-Generated Content

StoryAhead uses artificial intelligence to generate and revise text and images. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, unexpected, or unsuitable for a particular child or real-life event. Generated images may also contain visual artifacts or unintended text.

You must review generated content and make any necessary edits before use. Do not rely on StoryAhead for medical instructions, safety-critical directions, guarantees about future events, or decisions requiring professional judgment. Regenerating content may produce different results.

Your Content

You retain any rights you hold in the text, images, instructions, reference materials, and other content you submit to StoryAhead ("Your Content"). You grant StoryAhead and its service providers a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, transform, transmit, and display Your Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and improve the service and to fulfill your requests.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit Your Content, including photographs or information relating to another person. You are responsible for Your Content and for how you share or export it.

Rights in AI-generated output can vary by jurisdiction and may be affected by third-party provider terms. StoryAhead does not guarantee that generated output is unique or eligible for intellectual-property protection.

StoryAhead Content and Intellectual Property

StoryAhead, including its software, interface, branding, documentation, and service content other than Your Content, is owned by StoryAhead or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership of StoryAhead technology or branding.

Acceptable Use

You may not:

• use StoryAhead for unlawful, abusive, exploitative, deceptive, or harmful purposes;
• submit content you do not have permission to use;
• generate or share content that sexualizes or exploits minors;
• attempt to access another user's account, private story, or non-public system;
• bypass security, credit, payment, rate-limit, or access controls;
• interfere with the service or introduce malicious code;
• scrape, reverse engineer, or resell the service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
• use generated content to impersonate, defame, harass, or violate another person's rights.

We may remove content or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, children, third parties, or the service.

Subscriptions, Credits, and Payments

Paid features may be offered through subscriptions, credits, or one-time purchases. Prices, included credits, billing frequency, and plan benefits are shown at checkout or on the applicable pricing page.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the next renewal date.
• Canceling stops future renewals but does not normally reverse a charge already completed.
• Credits are a service entitlement, are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may expire according to the plan or grant terms shown when issued.
• Image generation or regeneration may consume credits at the displayed rate. Failed operations are handled according to the service's credit logic.
• Taxes and currency conversion charges may apply.
• Refunds are provided where required by law or where an applicable checkout or refund policy expressly allows them.

We may change prices or plan features prospectively. Where required, we will notify affected subscribers before a change applies to a renewal.

Sharing and Exporting

If you enable a story share link, anyone who obtains that link may be able to view the public version of the story. You are responsible for choosing what to share and with whom. Exported PDFs and images may be copied independently of StoryAhead, and disabling a share link cannot recall copies already downloaded or saved by others.

Availability and Changes

We work to keep StoryAhead available, but generation providers, storage services, payment systems, and other dependencies may fail or be unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that every generation will succeed. We may add, modify, limit, or discontinue features to maintain security, quality, legal compliance, or product viability.

Suspension and Termination

You may stop using StoryAhead at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, create security or legal risk, or use the service in a way that may harm a child, another person, or the service. Where reasonable and permitted, we will provide notice or an opportunity to address the issue.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoryAhead is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoryAhead and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of the service. Liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited remains unaffected.

Governing Terms and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to StoryAhead's provision of the service and to you as a consumer, without overriding mandatory rights available in your place of residence. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the concern informally.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised Terms and update the effective date. Material changes may receive additional notice. Your continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
